Trafficking victims have difficulty leaving.
The traffickers create strong control techniques to prevent the victim from leaving. Creating false bonds, and false friendships to trick the victim.
Victims are often brainwashed believing they are being provided for and protected, which is not true. Memory loss is created through trauma.
The victim may have an intense, often romantic attachment to the trafficker (trauma bond). Often fake relationships, fake marriages falsified marriage certificates.
For some victims, leaving the trafficker may mean returning to a life of poverty and instability. Employment options can be limited for victims in the “mainstream world” because they may lack education, work experience, etc.
Another scenario is if the victim is engaged in educational access or work endeavors. The traffickers will allow them to succeed and then slide another trafficker , groomer or cohort under the victim’s identification even trading background. Leaving the victim once again stranded with no viable employment.
They label the victim inept to ensure the stolen identity, remains under the traffickers.
The victim is often drugged with hallucinations. Sometimes even slipped or micro-dosed narcotics as a means of controlling the victim. The victim often is cleancut and drug-free. With no drug history or no mental health issues at all.
Every aspect of the trafficking Victim is gaslighted for control by the traffickers. These are barriers of seclusion for the victims.
These are scenarios of a trafficking network.
